A summary of design & development activity and KPIs for the OpCo product team in July 2024.
Development
We launched the new UI on July 18th. The launch was a huge success with lots of positive feedback. The launch split our work, in July, into two sprints.
In the first half of July, we focused on preparing everything for launch. That involved some last-minute features to integrate Aura more deeply and generally fix any last bugs we could find. A big shoutout to the Zentestoors in Discord who thoroughly tested the app over the previous month. Without their help, the app would not be as robust and stable as it is.
In the second half of July, we transitioned to preparing the app for the CoW AMM launch. This involved integrating an entirely new AMM into the app, complete with a CoW-branded theme. This would have been impossible to do so quickly, if at all, in the v2 app. So it has given us the opportunity to show how flexible the new architecture is.
Finally, we spent some time preparing the v2 app and API for deprecation.
Design
Below is a high-level list of design activity in July:
- Marketing website
- Design and build marketing website, including graphics and parallax animations.
- Including graphics creation

- Smooth scrolling

- New Picture component to keep images super light for capable browsers.
- UX/UI and copywriting for v3 app

- Improvements around better gas expectations (not live yet)

- Featured pools section clean up, and new entry & hover animations
- CoW AMM theming
KPIs
KPIs will be reported again once we have fully transitioned to the new app and have the appropriate data in place.
