Karpatkey Delegate Thread

Voting Actions 2024 - April 22nd – April 26th

Proposal: [BIP-592] Exit and Withdraw from BAL/AURA/ARB Pool [Arbitrum]
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We supported the original proposal, and this is the execution of it.

Proposal: [BIP-593] Enable gauge for WETH/wstETH on [Polygon zkEVM]
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support CL pools as they make Balancer more suitable for swapping routes from aggregators, increasing the volume and fees on the platform.

Proposal: [BIP-594] Enable Gauges for jitoSOL/SOL and jitoSOL/wstETH on Arbitrum
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: Jito is the leading liquid staking platform on Solana, and having Balancer as its main liquidity pool on Arbitrum will drive trading volume and protocol fees on that chain. Jito is looking to expand to EVM chains, and having this partnership with us positions Balancer as a preferred venue for further initiatives.

Proposal: [BIP-595] Enable Gauge for sDAI / aUSDC pool on Optimism
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support this proposal. Having Balancer and Gyroscope as the primary liquidity sources for sDAI creates a closer relationship with Spark. On top of that, yield-bearing assets have the potential to increase the DAO’s revenue.

Voting Actions 2024 - April 29th – May 3rd

Proposal: [BIP-596] Enable weETH/WETH Gauge [BASE]
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: As a general rule, we support the addition of LST/LRTs gauges on Balancer. It increases the protocol fees and generates trading volume for the platform.

Proposal: [BIP-597] Claim Wormhole (W) tokens
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: Proposal to execute the transactions to claim the tokens.

Proposal: [BIP-598] Claim Extra Safe Airdrop
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: Proposal to execute the transactions to claim the tokens.

Proposal: [BIP-599] Enable Gauge for PAR/EURA pool with a 2% cap (Ethereum)
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support this proposal to enable a Gauge for PAR/EURA pool with a 2% cap (Ethereum). Parallel Protocol intends to use this tool to increase the stability of PAR and the on-chain liquidity of both PAR and EURA (EURO-related stablecoins).

Proposal: [BIP-600] Enable Gauge for paUSD/GYD Pool with a 2% cap (Ethereum)
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support this proposal. Parallel Protocol intends to use this tool to increase the stability of paUSD and the on-chain liquidity of both paUSD and GYD.

Proposal: [BIP-601] Enable Gauge for paUSD/stataPolUSDCn Pool with a 2% cap (Polygon PoS)
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support this proposal as it introduces another liquidity source for paUSD and Balancer can benefit from the trading fees.

Proposal: [BIP-602] Enable Gauge for PAR/EURe Pool with a 2% cap (Polygon PoS)
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support this proposal to enable a Gauge for PAR/EURe pool with a 2% cap (Polygon PoS). Parallel Protocol intends to use this tool to increase the stability of PAR and the on-chain liquidity of both PAR and EURe (EURO-related stablecoins), and this pool has the possibility of generating trading volume and fees for Balancer.

Proposal: [BIP-603] Enable Gauge for PAR/EUROe Pool with a 2% cap (Polygon PoS)
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support this proposal to enable a Gauge for PAR/EUROe pool with a 2% cap (Polygon PoS). Parallel Protocol intends to use this tool to increase the stability of PAR and the on-chain liquidity of both PAR and EUROe (EURO-related stablecoins), and this pool has the possibility of generating trading volume and fees for Balancer.

Proposal: [BIP-604] Enable Gauge for sDAI / aUSDC pools on Base
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support this proposal. Having Balancer and Gyroscope as the primary liquidity sources for sDAI creates a closer relationship with Spark. On top of that, yield-bearing assets have the potential to increase the DAO’s revenue.

Voting Actions - May 6th - 10th

Proposal: [BIP-605] Enable Gauge for inankrETH/ankrETH [Ethereum]
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: As a general rule, we support the addition of LST/LRTs gauges on Balancer. It increases the protocol fees and generates trading volume for the platform.

Proposal: [BIP-606] Enable wOETH/WETH Gyro Gauge w/2% cap [Arbitrum]
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: As a general rule, we support the addition of LST/LRTs gauges on Balancer. It increases the protocol fees and generates trading volume for the platform. Origin Protocol will incentivise the pool with part od its ARB LTIPP grant.

Voting Actions - May 13th - 17th

Proposal: [BIP-607] Update FTM Multisig to Claim vested BEETS
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: We support this proposal and the decision of bridging the tokens

Proposal: [BIP-608] Deploy Balancer on Fraxtal
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: Frax has been a great partner of Balancer, and we support the deployment of a Balancer instance on Fraxtal.

Proposal: [BIP-609] Enable Gauge for wrsETH/WETH [Optimism]
Vote: Yes, let’s do it
Reasoning: As a general rule, we support the addition of LST/LRTs gauges on Balancer, and Kelp is one of the largest LRT protocols. This pool can increase the protocol fees and generate trading volume for the platform.
