Summary
This proposal seeks to enable gauge voting and incentivization for the Movement Network (MOVE) liquidity pool on Balancer v3. Movement Network is a modular Layer 2 blockchain leveraging MoveVM to enable secure, scalable, and composable applications. Gauging this pool will deepen early liquidity, align incentives for liquidity providers, and enhance composability across the Balancer ecosystem.

Protocol Description
Movement Network is building a modular, secure Layer 2 blockchain using the MoveVM – a high-throughput execution engine designed with security and formal verification at its core. The MOVE token serves as the native asset for governance, staking, and gas.
Liquidity and price discovery are driven by decentralized exchanges including Balancer and Uniswap, and data is mirrored to major aggregators like CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap.
Motivation
MOVE is a new asset seeking to establish early liquidity and composability. Gauging its Balancer pool will:
- Support healthy volume and slippage
- Enable deeper integrations into the Balancer ecosystem
- Align incentives for liquidity providers (LPs), developers, and the broader Movement community
- Build cross-chain utility via bridging and protocol integrations
Specifications
1. Governance
- Protocol is governed by Movement Network Foundation and a decentralized community.
- A multisig treasury manages core parameters during the bootstrapping phase.
- Governance: Testnet DAO on Aragon (mainnet pending)
- Treasury Multisig: 0xb2cA1CAecd1D3e9bF84B9332cb4aB11961639a5c
2. Oracle Infrastructure
- Currently operating without price oracles
- Planned integration: Chainlink, LayerZero, and Wormhole for secure cross-chain messaging and price feeds
3. Audits
- Ongoing audits with:
- OtterSec
- Halborn
Reports will be published on GitHub and Wiki once complete.
4. Decentralization Risks
- KoKyat and core contributors currently lead development
- Progressive decentralization via open-sourced Move modules and DAO tooling
- Upgrades and treasury currently multisig-controlled
5. Market & Pool Data
- MOVE is an early-stage token
- The Balancer pool is live and ramping up liquidity and TVL
- Uniswap v3 Reference Pool:

- Uniswap v3 Reference Pool:
6. Value Proposition to Balancer
- MOVE pool will serve as primary liquidity hub for the Movement ecosystem
- Generates trading fees and bootstraps early user incentives
- Potential for long-term value via:
- Governance participation
- Bridging MOVE to Balancer-integrated L2s
- Composability with DeFi protocols and ve-token models
Next Steps (For Posting)
Once finalized, you can submit this proposal to:
- Balancer Forum → gauge-requests category:
https://forum.balancer.fi/c/gauge-requests - Include a short TL;DR + pool details
- Once approved → gauge controller → vote
Optional Enhancements:
- Add Pool Address (Balancer) if already deployed
- Include gauge weight request (example: “Requesting 2,500 BAL/week initially”)
• • Attach snapshot or governance links if DAO votes will back this
