Project Description:

TrueUSD is the first digital asset with live on-chain attestations by independent third-party institutions and is backed 1:1 with the U.S. dollar. So far, it has been listed on more than 100 trading platforms and is live on twelve mainstream public chains including Ethereum, TRON, Avalanche, BNB, Fantom, Polygon, Arbitrum, Cronos, Optimism and Aurora, with its total supply surging over $895 million. TrueUSD is real-time audited by Armanino, one of the largest U.S.-based accounting firms, to ensure the 1:1 ratio of its USD reserve to the circulating token supply and the 100% collateral rate. Users can access the publicly available audit results via the official website Stablecoins | Archblock at any time.
TUSD is granted statutory status as authorized digital currency and medium of exchange in the Commonwealth of Dominica effective on October 7th 2022.

Motivation:

TUSD gives close attention to the progress of Balancer protocol and would like to add a new stablecoin pair with bbaUSD LP token to amplify the usage of the liquidity and earn more rewards for the community. What’s more, bbaTUSD is under development and will be available in about one month, which will bring even higher yields to the pool, benefiting LPs and the protocol overall. We are optimistic to make Balancer another big DEX market for TUSD pools on Ethereum beside Curve.

Specifications:

  1. Governance: TUSD is a regulated and tokenized version of the US Dollar, featured with a high level of security and compliance.
  2. Oracles: We use Chainlink to feed price, and TUSD has been working with Chainlink for the POR mechanism which will hopefully be published by the end of November.
  3. Audits: Users can check the independent accountant reports from Armanino in real-time.
  4. Centralization vectors: Check the Whitepaper for information on this.
  5. Market History: Check the historical data of TUSD on Coinmarketcap.
  6. Value: TUSD/bbaUSD will be stable and beneficial for the whole Balancer community.

TrueUSD seems to be a well proven, fully redeemable and fully backed USD stable-coin. The A-factor of 600 makes sense on this pool. Parameter management is delegated to the pool. This looks like a well configured and healthy gauge to me.

Seems like a nice addition. Are you planning to deposit large capital into that pool as well?
