This is in fact a common issue in this industry, given the self-custodial aspects.
The way Balancer mitigates these risks is by offering frontend user support via Discord, either by community channels or dedicated support ticket system, where you can talk to the team. We are also constantly taking down fake websites, identifying scams and tagging phishing wallets through the Anti Scam Initiative.
