As Balancer’s chapter draws to a close, we have been taking stock of DAO owned assets across historical wallets, migrations and contract positions.
This thread brings the current findings together. It can also serve as a place for the Treasury Council and community to share updates.
Buffer Liquidity
Balancer owns around $350k of liquidity inside v3 buffers on Ethereum. These positions use internal Vault accounting and do not appear as normal tokens in the DAO wallet.
Because buffer balances and asset composition change as swaps pass through them, the transaction is time-sensitive. The Treasury Council is scheduling a signer session to withdraw these funds.
Innovation Funds
The Innovation Fund was created to support new business opportunities and the production testing of Balancer products.
This operation was completed and returned approximately 92,822 USDC and 25.58 WETH to the managed Treasury.
Grants Funds
The former Grants Safe held approximately $8,500 in BAL, USDC and WETH.
The funds were returned to the Treasury Council through this executed Safe transaction. It transferred 1,569.17 BAL, 5,600 USDC and 0.984 WETH.
Timeless Fees
After the Timeless position was unwound, around 10k USDC remained claimable. BIP-933 proposes claiming the remaining fees for the DAO.
stkAAVE Rewards
The DAO can claim approximately 9.3061 AAVE from its former stkAAVE position. This AAVE claim proposal sends the full amount directly to the Treasury Safe.
BEETS on Sonic
We found the DAO Safe on Sonic still holds 10 million BEETS. A proposal to burn the tokens is expected to go to Snapshot voting this weekend.
Current Status
The Innovation & Grants funds have already been returned.
stkAAVE and Timeless claims are moving through governance. BEETS burning proposal is expected to go to Snapshot voting this weekend. The Treasury Council is scheduling the buffers withdrawal.
This thread can be updated when claims are executed, assets are moved or further relevant information is shared. Community is also welcome to flag other DAO owned positions that may deserve attention.
