I’m quite strongly in favor of distributing in kind as originally planned for 2 main reasons:

We are probably at the beginning of what could be the biggest bull market ever. Things could explode up quickly. I think we’d miss out on a huge upside by selling now.

Putting myself in the shoes of the partner projects whose tokens we hold (mainly Aave but not only) we are creating downward pressure unnecessarily, given the BAL holders that will redeem might like that exposure. If they want, they can sell the tokens once they redeemed, but the DAO should not make that decision on their behalf.
Also, not having to sell is simpler: things can go wrong when selling big amounts like this and we want to mitigate any liability to the admins of this winddown process.
