Protocol Description:
Tokemak developed Autopilot to introduce automated liquidity to DeFi. As a novel LP aggregation primitive, Autopilot monitors and autonomously routes liquidity across eligible LP destinations. This is achieved through configurable Autopools (ERC-4626), which represent option sets of eligible destinations for liquidity rebalances.

Using Autopools, LPs receive optimal returns, which are auto-compounded into the respective Autopool. Furthermore, LPs remain composable with DeFi through LATs (Liquid Auto Tokens), the Autopool’s yield-bearing receipt tokens.

The balETH Balancer Autopool represents a customized deployment that rebalances LPs exclusively across Balancer pools. This custom deployment highlights the configurable nature of Autopools and its value proposition in streamlining liquidity across Balancer’s extensive user base.

Motivation:
Tokemak is seeking to establish a balETH/wstETH pool to create balETH liquidity and foster its utility and integrations across DeFi.

Specifications:

  1. Governance: Autopilot currently operates with a set of multi-sig wallets. Ownership of contracts is held by the Tokemak DAO multi-sig with an additional used for any operations.

  2. Oracles: Autopilot utilizes oracles from Chainlink and Redstone. To track stats for various incentive tokens prices may be pushed on-chain via Keeper from Coingecko. Link to balETH rate provider review.

  3. Audits: Tokemak’s smart contracts are audited by Hexens and Sherlock. Furthermore, Autopilot’s strategy contracts are formally verified by Certora. Lastly, Tokemak relies on Hypernative for real-time monitoring. All security reports can be found at the following link: Security and Audits | Tokemak Autopilot

  4. Centralization Vectors: Centralization vectors currently are around multi-sig control of contracts, front-end hosting, and Keeper usage. Contracts are not upgradable but some may be replaced by newer versions.

  5. Market History: The balETH Autopool was launched on the 16th of September, 2024 and with $4.2M in TVL;

  6. Value: The balETH Autopool streamline liquidity across Balancer and automates liquidity rebalances across the underlying Balancer pools.
