# \[BIP-789\] Grant Maxis Parameter Control on the MEV Tax Hook

### **Summary & Motivation**

The upcoming MEV Tax hook has a couple configurable parameters that must be modified in order to optimize MEV capture. This proposal gives permissions to the Balancer Maxis to control such parameters.

The following functions and their respective action id’s can be found in the Balancer deployments repo [here](https://github.com/balancer/balancer-deployments/blob/master/action-ids/base/action-ids.json).

### Technical Specification:

The DAO Multisig on Base will call the `Authorizer`’s `grantRoles` function with the respective action id’s for the following functions to the LM multisig at `0x65226673F3D202E0f897C862590d7e1A992B2048`:

`addMevTaxExemptSenders`  
`removeMevTaxExemptSenders`  
`disableMevTax`  
`enableMevTax`  
`setDefaultMevTaxMultiplier`  
`setDefaultMevTaxThreshold`  
`setMaxMevSwapFeePercentage`  
`setPoolMevTaxMultiplier`  
`setPoolMevTaxThreshold`

which correspond with
