# Balancer Maxis February 2023 Update

Migration season has begun! Following [“the issue”](https://forum.balancer.fi/t/reentrancy-vulnerability-scope-expanded/4345), the Maxis have been working hard to restore normal operations by deploying new versions of affected pools, making sure incentives are moved accordingly in March and getting ready for Aave v3 boosted pools (for reference, please check [BIP-177] and [BIP-189]). Exciting stuff around the corner with generalized boosted pools, including bb-euler-USD, staked ApeCoin and more (Idle, Yearn, Gearbox etc…).

Seeing the increasing interest in Avalanche (specially LSD) and partnering with our Karptkey friends on Gnosis, the Maxis are kick-starting initiatives to bring Balancer to those chains, increasing the protocol’s presence on L2s. We believe Balancer tech has a strong competitive advantage, and under BIP-19 + third-party incentives, our recent experience on Polygon and Arbitrum made us quite bullish on multi-chain expansion.

The Balancer Community is flourishing with new Ballers engaging in marketing initiatives alongside Orb Collective and the Grants Committee, so look out for more BAL-shilling and Balancer ambassadooors!
